No, but you could hurt yourself that way. Because the gasoline will start burning in the rifle which is very dangerous! If the vapor ignites, it could burn everyone nearby. Gasoline vapor can be ignited by sources as far as 20 feet from the container.
So don't try this!

There is also a possibility that the cartridge would fail to fire. Gasoline MAY soak into the cartridge, and deactivate the primer and/or powder. Ever hear the expression "Keep your powder dry"?
All in all, putting gasoline on your cartridges is a VERY BAD IDEA. Dangerous and unprofessional. Never do it. Never mind what people do in movies. In real life, firearms are deadly WEAPONS, and should be handled with respect and care. Anyone who is not responsible enough to handle firearms intelligently and carefully should not handle them at all.

It's not the weight of gasoline as much as the molecular structure. Gasoline molecules tend to stick to your skin so the smell is difficult to get rid of. (Remember that gasoline is made from oil and oil is very sticky.) I don't know if the gasoline literally soaks into your skin, but you certainly don't want to be soaking your skin in gasoline as it probably is toxic to your health. Gasoline is never something to mess around with especially if there is any chance of a possibility of a spark or flame around. Gasoline is extremely flammable and so are the vapors that emit from gasoline. Breathing in gasoline fumes will cause brain damage so imagine soaking your skin in it, can't be good at all.
