  • Think about this .... you consider yourself an adult so start acting like one. If you are working you should pay a percentage of your wages to your parents. After all, you want to become independent and you eat their food, use the electricity in the house and your mom probably does your laundry and cooks the meals. How do you think you will handle being out on your own paying approx. $800 up for rent, food, electricity, phone, gas if you have a car, medical, etc. It's obvious you know the rent is higher out there, so now that you have become an adult you have to take on adult responsibilities. As far as rules of the house, it is no different than following rules of the law, rules of the apartment building you may one day live in, rules of the road, and on and on. Life is rules! However, I do see where 18 year olds come from. Parents expect them to act like adults, but don't give them the full responsibility of one. If you are working then sit down with your parents and tell them that you will pay rent (decide on a fair rent depending on what you are making wage-wise.) Also tell them that you need your privacy and if you are paying rent then you should have more responsibility in your private life. If your parents have a spare room downstairs and you aren't in it, move into it! If you are out with friends then be quiet when you leave and come home and don't disturb your parents. Your parents love you so it doesn't hurt to pop your head in and say to your mom or dad "Hey, going out with friends, be back by midnight." Don't have your friends phoning at all hours of the day (get your own phone by the way.) Like anything else in our lives it's about respect. They should have respect for your privacy and you should have respect for their rules and their feelings. There are no freebies in this world. You think you are an adult then stand solid on your feet, sit down with your parents and work something out.

If you're getting a lip ring and your parents dont approve how do you hide it from them?

Life will go on without the lip ring. If you are under age, then your responsibility is to follow the rules your parents set. Dishonesty or working around what they have asked does not fit the level of trust you need to have with your family. After you are older, and on your own, a lip ring is possible if you still want it.

Why the words pronounces by its spelling?

The words can sometimes pronounce by its spelling, but the pronunciation doesn't really following the spelling directly. Instead, the words pronounces by its phonetics more directly rather than the spelling. Sometimes, the letters might have irregular pronunciations, which is generally called "tricky pronunciation", but there are some spelling context rules applied. Firstly, silent letters might sometimes occur, which a certain letter is spelt but not pronounced, but there are some certain spelling context rules to silent letters. Secondly, the letters might not be silent and still be pronounced, but instead, they have an irregular pronunciation than usual, but there are still some certain spelling context rules to irregular pronunciations. We needed to always be alert of the English spelling and pronunciations because things usually follow the rules, but this doesn't certainly happen. Sometimes, rule-breakers or exceptions might occur, which is when words doesn't really follow the rules.
