One little push and the Slinky will flip down the stairs.
A Mechanical Wave can be described as a disturbance that travels through a medium, transporting energy from one location to another location. The medium is simply the material through which the disturbance is moving; it can be thought of as a series of interacting particles. The example of a slinky wave is often used to illustrate the nature of a wave. A disturbance is typically created within the slinky by the back and forth movement of the first coil of the slinky. The first coil becomes disturbed and begins to push or pull on the second coil. This push or pull on the second coil will displace the second coil from its equilibrium position. As the second coil becomes displaced, it begins to push or pull on the third coil; the push or pull on the third coil displaces it from its equilibrium position. As the third coil becomes displaced, it begins to push or pull on the fourth coil. This process continues in consecutive fashion, with each individual particle acting to displace the adjacent particle. Subsequently the disturbance travels through the slinky. As the disturbance moves from coil to coil, the energy which was originally introduced into the first coil is transported along the medium from one location to another.
A push or a pull is a force
what is a pull-push rule
everything that gravity can have a push or a pull
well, i will tell two tricks. the first one i call the mid-flip. Hold the top and bottom sides of the slinky, pull the top side. In mid-pull let go of the slinky and possibly 5 milliseconds after try to catch the slinky. And number two, is call the boomerang. Hold the bottom of the slinky throw or push the top away from you. (Don't let go!) if done correctly the slinky will pull back to you.

Any push or pull is defined as force. This force may or may not produce motion. It might stop the moving object, change the shape, size or direction.

It is a push and a pull. When you move your body towards the ground, it is a pull. A pull as in a pull to the ground. It is a push when you are moving away from the ground.
