If you want to convert to Catholicism but you have been divorced is that okay?

The conversion is not a problem. It is advisable, however, to talk with your local parish priest as to how your marriage/divorce will be viewed by the Church. While the Church's view may not actively affect you now at the time of your conversion, there may be consequences later on that may catch you by surprise. For instance, since the Church does not recognize divorce, It may consider you still married, or depending on the circumstances of your marriage, It may consider you to have never validly contracted marriage, etc. It is just a wise thing to look into now, especially if you wish to date again in the future.
