If you drop your caloric intake by 500 calories per day and increase your physical activity by 500 calories per day, you will lose about two pounds per week. So, theoretically, you can achieve your target weight in about eight months.
If you plan on doing this DON'T it is very unhealthy. If you want to lose weight eat a balanced diet and go for plenty of exersize, don't starve!
To clarify, being 200 lbs and 6 foot with a medium build is pretty normal if you're an american male. You won't be wearing 32 inch jeans (Unless you're a body builder) but you should still feel pretty good and be able to do most things. Instead of trying to loose weight, instead, try to gain muscle mass by working out or simply doing some labor.
You shouldn't starve yourself. Ever. This is not a game or some fad diet or something. Starving yourself leads to organ dysfunctions, organ shut downs, and death. Starvation (anorexia) is a disease. Don't starve, just alter your eating habits to eat healthy, proportional meals and exerciseregularly. Take it from someone already on the path, don't starve yourself.
