First of all....you MUST put at least 2-3 gallons of gas before the fuel pump will charge the system.
Then.... Turn the key to "on" position for 10 sec. Turn the key "off" Turn the key to "on" position for 10 sec. Try to start vehicle
my land rover discovery 2 i want know is fix is hard or easy
Transmission or transfer case? If fliud levels are correct and clean and noise is continual remove and fix. No other way around it.
take the relay out of your fuse box that is for the alarm system. no relay means no power to the alarm system, not a fix but good enough to get you by until you can find the real problem and fix it
The quickest way, is to pull out the bulb. Or... you could fix the problem (probably the exhaust O2 sensor?) but this sort of depends where your RR was originally sold. For example... Japanese ones are quite different in this regard, to say... American ones.
i ain't good at them things
you fix it
The best way is to have it serviced and they will reset it for you. That light came on because your vehicle isn't running properly and a trouble code got stored in the controll module. A mechanic will hook up his analyser and read the code. This alone will clear the code and the light will go out, but you still have to fix the problem or the light will come back on within minutes.
If you have problems with the front and back stabilizer of your Range Rover, take it to an accredited dealer to fix it for you.
There is a little black box behind the glove compartment that controls the front windows and supplies power to the rear windows, it is very common for a solder joint from the main input connector to the PCB to dry. Hitting this box may temporarily fix the connection and confirm the diagnosis, then replace the box or open it up and repair the joint.
It is probably a u-joint on the front drive line. If you don't fix it, the drive line will eventually come loose, thrash around and destroy your transmission and other nearby parts. The drive line is very expensive, but the u-joints are readily available at most auto parts stores, and any competent mechanic can fit it for you.
I own 3 and they all need something doing at some point, maybe if i concentrated on 1 then as a mechanic i would say very dependable ish. if you are mechanically minded like me then simple to fix for even a kid,if you have 1 keep it,they will be worth a fortune in years to come.
Take it to a dealer to fix it. They wont fix it. They will tell you it needs an engine. Rover can not produce an engine for it. Rover will buy the car back. They are garbage rover wants them off the road. Even if you sucessfully reset the timing without the special tools the end of tne camshafts will eventually break off at the sprocket. rover techs are scared to work on those. I know I am one. Wont touch them
