Check the fuse and blower relay first. Make sure that there is power getting to the blower motor before changing the motor.
if your blower motor is not properly working it is most likely your blower motor resistor. it is located next to the blower motor which can be found by looking through your glove compartment. 17.99 at your local autozone
There are a couple of reasons why a 1999 Oldsmobile Alero ac heater to stop working. The heater coil may need to be replaced or the HVAC blower motor may need to be replaced.
if the blower motor works most likely heater core is bad. need more info
The heater blower motor will most likely be located under the dash by the heater core assmebly, but first you need to be sure that that's the problem, it could just be wiring to the blower motor. Shouldnt be too hard to replace, and should be simple to find,
You still have a blower resister assembly, wiring, and a blower motor itself, in that system. Any one of those could have a problem. You need to use a test light at the blower motor connector and see if you are getting both power and ground. If you are missing a ground, most likely you have a bad blower resister assembly. If you are mssing power, check fuses and wiring. If you have both power and ground, and the motor isn't working, you need a blower motor. I have also found that sometimes tapping with a screwdriver handle on the motor will make it come on, and if that is the case, then again, you have a bad blower motor.
Not much info to go with. Need to know if the blower motor operates or not.
heater fan blower motor is burn up not working need to replace it could also be a heater relay typically located on the fuse panel that needs replacing could also be the switch on the switch panel
The first thing that you need to check will be to make sure that you are getting both power and ground and go from there.....................
the heater blower fan is in the heater housing assembly on the passenger side. You need to take out the whole housing assembly in order to access the blower.
you most likely need a new heater core or it maybe the heater hoses that go to it are leaking.
If it is noisy or it is getting voltage with a ground and isn't working, it needs replaced.
have you checked the fuse if so then you will need to replace the resistor for the blower hig and low dettings have you checked the fuse do you have 12 volts to blower if so then you will need to replace the resistor for the blower replace the blower motor
