Well, first of all, you should never get a new puppy when your grieving for another pet. Its not fair for you or the new puppy. There is no way to forget the loss of your dog, you have to have time to grieve just as with a family members death. But look at the new puppy like the baby of your family. Know that your not replacing your old dog with a new one. Your simply finding a new place in your heart for another child (the puppy). But give yourself time to grieve, its normal to be sad about your pet being gone. Let it out, if you haven't already, let yourself cry.
