Well, here is what you can do for this and every difference you have in the future. You each can "give in" to the other, if it is REALLY not a big deal to either of you on a scale of 1 to 10, or you can compromise. There's lots of ways to do this with your rings: there are rings with both kinds of gold on them; each of you gets what you want with a common design, or you both keep looking for the ring design that you both love. There's no rules regarding matching rings and most rings are beautifully made, so be sure to suit yourselves!
