It's all about the trust factor. Either you have it or you don't. Lasting relationships are based on trust in addition to, open, honest, and direct communication. This is not a spontaneous event but one that develops over a period of time. If she has never given you reason to mistrust her before, then why would you start now? That being said, do not be naive, but at the same time do not be over-reactive.
