In an electrical fire you NEVER want to throw water on the fire since water conducts electricity. You would want to turn off the main power to the house. The fire can be put out with a fire extinguisher if not too large. If the fire is too large evacuate and take everyone along.

That would depend on what it is made of, a brick house may be gutted by fire but it would not burn down to the ground. Wooden houses can burn to the ground in less than an hour if they are not well-constructed.

there is no real answer to how many people in New-Zealand have pets but i would take a guess and say comparing it to Australia's number of pets i guess 1/3 of their population would have at least 1 pet!!!
