I must admit I am no expert on the topic but I have come across the topic in many Biology classes. Although it wouldn't surprise me, I can't say for sure that his returning will stimulate ovulation. However, there has been much research done on the male response to temporary seperations. It has been found that males will substantially increase the amount of ejaculate after returning to a lover via a natural response to counter act any foreign male sperm that may have entered the female during his absence. In a similar way, ovulation may be induced by the returning of a male counterpart....who knows, humans are very complex organisms that respond to stimuli on many differnet levels. Hope that helps. You could look further into the subject by accessing a medical journal (PubMed) via any university library....or online. Good luck!
