You enter the Damage Step and Damage Calculation as normal. You compare the ATKs of the two monsters, which will determine if one or both are destroyed by battle, and if the controlling players take any battle damage too.

If the opponent's monster is in attack mode, then both monsters are destroyed. If it's in defence, then nothing happens.
