No! As long as the kitten's eye looks normal and has a pupil then it's fine. I have a semi-feral kitten who is blind in one eye. His eye is completley gray with no pupil. The kitten and his brother have brown eyes, apart from the blind eye which is gray! :P

If you get your kittens from the pound, they most likely will get a sickness. Most of the time its just a little cold. If your kitten gets discharge in its eye, then you probably should take them to the vet. They can give the kitten eye drops. If you can't take them to the vet, then get a clothe abd wet it with luke warm water. Gently dab your kitten's eye with it about 3-5 times a day.
Kittens eyes are closed around a week, longest nearer two weeks. If they are closed longer you should maybe have a vet check it out.
