I'm really sorry that you're scared about giving birth. Would you allow me to be praying for you about it? Here are some things that might help you: . Going for a tour/look round the maternity ward/unit before you have your baby. Many hospitals/maternity wards/maternity units allow this and it can be very helpful, so that you know where you'll be and where everything is and where you need to go when you get there . Is there anyone who can go with you - a friend, parent etc . Take some things with you to make you feel comforted in the hospital, such as a picture of your other child, a favourite book, a favourite blanket etc. . Make sure you keep in contact with friends and family etc. the whole time you are in hospital and the whole of your pregnancy if they can't be there with you. It will help you to know that there are people who are caring for you . Make sure your hospital bag is ready and in an accessible place . Either have someone who you have arranged in advance to take you to hospital when you go into labour, or have a list of trusted taxi phone numbers by the phone (you may need to check in advance if they will take a single pregnant woman who is in labour) . Make sure it is arranged for someone to be looking after your child when you are in labour and the following few days when you are in hospital . Keep the hospitals phone number by the phone, so you can phone them when you go into labour and they can meet you when you arrive Good luck and I hope it goes really well for you.
