Im 6 weeks pregnant and spotting dark brown i went to the e.r. and had a vaginal sonogram done but fetus was not visible only the sac is that normal?

Bleeding is VERY common during early pregnancy. You have to consider also that the fetus itself is preeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeetty tiny at this point and is rather hard to spot. Even at 12 weeks it's kinda tricky. Don't panic. Everything is probably progressing normally.
