What is a phsi vampire?
Psi vampires are different from sanguinarian vampires. Sanguinarian vampires are the type that one generally thinks of when thinking of vampires. These types of vampires need to feed off blood whereas psi vampires require life force energy, otherwise known as pranic, to keep their health in good condition. Although they will probably not die without this energy, without it they will become lethargic and may become quite sick. Psi vampires generally feed off the energy of other people but they can also use elements found in nature, such as storms, to feed off and they sometimes also feed off power sources. Just like other people, psi vampires do not need to feed all the time. They will feed when their energy needs to be replenished and will not feed when it doesn't. Psi vampires will feed off of groups of people when they are in a crowd or they will feed off one individual at a time. While some psi vampires believe in honoring the donor, or person they feed off, by asking permission to feed, not all psi vampires have this belief and will feed without first asking to do so. The donor may feel something when they are being fed off of by a psi vampire but that is not always the case. The degree of feeling will vary from donor to donor, depending mainly on if the donor has awakened. This doesn't refer to awakening as a vampire but rather any person that is extremely aware and sensitive to things that are happening to and around them. If a donor does feel anything, it's generally a feeling of tiredness as the energy is being sucked out of them. Some psi vampires practice "cycling," which is quite a nice experience for the donor. When a psi vampire chooses to cycle, they take the energy but return some of it to the donor so that the donor does not feel completely drained. Some argue that there really is nothing to differentiate a sanguinarian vampire and a psi vampire except that sanguinarian vampires choose to feed off blood rather than a person's emotions. While sanguinarian vampires claim that this in untrue, some believe that sanguinarians just enjoy the taste of the blood and so they have blocked out the ability to feed off of other's emotions. Either way, the practice of psi vampirism or sanguinarian vampirism are both considered to be acceptable in the vampire community.

Energy vampires, also known as Psi-Vampires, are a type of vampire that feeds off of the energy of other people. I do believe, in my own personal opinion, that Psi-vampires are a more evolved form of the regular blood-drinking vampire so that they can still feed but blend into society better. Psi-Vampires can feed without having to make any physical contact and it makes them seem more human. I mean seriously, how obvious and awkward is it to have someone walk up to you and try to explain that they need you to done blood to them or they'll die? Very awkward. I see the energy feeding for vampires as a way of protection.
