Im looking to make an engine swap on my1994 Chevy cavalier rs it came with a 2.2 inline 4 but I a changing it to a 3.1 what changes will you have to make with this swap other than the wiring harness?

You would have to change ur engine mounts and wiring its a lot of truble but if u have the money it could be done with the right fabracations....

A '98 Cavalier Z24 has a timing chain, not a belt. Currently in the process of changing the water pump, and the timing chain is involved. We are looking at replacing the chain while there because it is a very involved process. You should get a Chilton manual, well worth the money. Will let you know more after completion.
