I'm trying to decide between buying a new Mac computer or a new PC. What are the differences between the two computers?

That's a little like asking, "Who's better? Republicans or Democrats?" Personally, I was raised with Mac, so that's where my loyalties lie. I think the Mac OS is far more user-friendly, far more stable and (currently) less of a target for viruses. Thanks to the success of Apple, there's no longer an issue with getting software companies to produce Mac versions (and Mac can run Windows if needed). Finally, when you're ready to upgrade from one Mac to another, you connect one firewire cable and migrating your files, applications and emails takes minutes. (Try that the next time Microsoft decides to reinvent the operating system...)
Apple is the way to go right now but more viruses are starting to attack them (more people using them means more targets for viruses) and my only fear is that Apple doesn't have the experience fighting massive virus attacks the way Microsoft does. Still, they couldn't do worse than Microsoft, so there you go
