Most depictions are similar but we can only speculate the fine detail. He created us in his image so we know he looks like a man, but that's it.

We probably do not look like God, I think the 'likeness' referred to is an aesthetic quality. When you look at a landscape and appreciate its beauty, I think God does that too, while I am not sure a dog would appreciate the beauty of the view. We are alike in that we can both create and admire that which has been created.
