Possibly a war sacrifice, or death in battle- a fatal war casualty- Purple Heart, Half-way-Up sort of thing. This was also true among the Martial Greeks -Spartans. The idea of romanticizing childbirth akin to a heroic war death has , for the most part, never (Caught on) in Western society, and is very, very rarely used ( I am speaking of the incident itself- not any memorial honors- as a plot device in films or novels.
