Christianity stands or falls with the resurrection. If Christ did not resurrect from the dead, Christianity is false. But if Christ resurrected from the dead then Christianity is true. Christians believe in The Bible, God's word to man. In the bible we are taught that Christ resurrected from the dead and there were more than 500 witnesses to this fact. At the time the New Testament was written many of these persons were yet alive who had seen the risen Christ. Jesus Christ died for mankind's sin and God (the Father) raised Him from the dead three days later. This signified that God the father accepted Jesus' atoning death as a payment for the sins of the world. If Christ has risen from the dead then all who believe on His name will be resurrected on that resurrection day.

The facts of the resurrection, The empty tomb, the appearances to Mary Magdalene and the other women, to Peter, the Disciples on the road to Emmaus, to the ten disciples, to more than 500 people. To the 11 at the ascension. The importance of the resurrection for Christ was that it proved Him to be the Son of God, it confirmed all that He said to be true. For all men and women, it makes certain for the resurrection of all,and the coming judgement. To believers,it gives assurance of acceptance with God. it guarantees the believers resurrection. It also changed the day of worship to Sunday. It was the simple fact that he died on the cross for our sins and was buried in a tomb and rose again on the 3rd day and ascended into heaven and is at the right hand of the Father! WORSHIP GOD!!!!!!!!!

The Resurrection is the event in which Jesus rose from the dead, on the third day after His crucifixion at the hands of the Romans on the demand of the religious leaders in Jerusalem. It is the central, most pivotal event in the entire history of Christianity and, as we see it, the world. Paul even states that if the Resurrection never happened, everything we believe would be for nothing.

While not referred to as the Resurrection, there is another major resurrection in the Bible: namely, the resurrection of all people to face judgment at the end of days.
