Answer One:
He only had the one where he regenerated from the older Professor Yana, to the younger Master. This is, of course, not counting when he was resurrected in the final episode of Series 4.
Answer Two:
Even though there have only been six actors (to present date - 2010) who have portrayed the Master on screen, the character seems to have had many many more than the twelve regenerations normally allocated to a Time Lord and is most definitely on his second, possibly even third, extra regeneration cycle.
Answer Three:
The 2010 edition of Doctor Who: The Visual Dictionary (BBC Books) says the Master has had 17 bodies. This number includes his original 13 (which includes the versions of the Master who appeared in the Jon Pertwee era and the early Tom Baker era), and the additional "stolen bodies" including those played by Anthony Ainley, Eric Roberts, and finally the "new regenerations" given to him by the Time Lords which includes the Masters played by Derek Jacobi and John Simm in the new series.
well, when they were young, they were best friends but the master looked into the time vortex and became evil and power-hungry. See related links for more info.
His master was an Army doctor who was sent on a posting up there.
I'm looking to find out myself, it seems to be Master of Surgery.
A journeyman is a craftsman that has not reached the master level. He or she would do many of the same things a master would but with oversight of a master.
as many as you can count
At the moment, The Doctor has regenerated 10 times, and Matt Smith is the 11th Doctor
Yes, Time Lords always have 12 regenerations. Some previous episodes have been based around the Doctor's nemesis (the Master) wishing to steal the Doctor's remaining regenerations, and when he ran out of regenerations he looked like a skeleton. Also, River Song used up all of her 'remaining regenerations' to bring the Doctor back to life in 'Let's Kill Hitler', which proves that a Time Lord has a finite number (even if she is only part Time Lord). It is also mentioned somewhere else that they have only 12 regenerations - can't remember where, sorry. Is this what you wanted?
Very unlikely, if they can find away for The Master to get around the 12 regenerations thing they can do the same for The Doctor, the only way it will end is if the viewing figures nose dive.
Time Lords get 12 regenerations, meaning 13 incarnations in total, though The Master has had more than this, by various means.
No. A timelord can regenerate 12 times, Matt Smith is only the 11th doctor. Also the master got around the whole 12 regenerations thing so I would hope that the doctor will too.
Peri brown is a rather dense American that traveled with the doctor in his fifth and sixth regenerations.
They will easily find a way around it like they have done with the Master getting a new cycle of regenerations. As the characters are always saying time can be rewritten.
No, he just regenerates to save himself, but his character changes when this happens. He can only die after about 13-15 regenerations.
no one nows i think it happened between the 8th and 9th regenerations
In the 'Death of The Doctor' episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures (a spin-off show from Doctor Who), the Doctor says he can regenerate 507 times. That being said, the Time Lord's lives were limited because of the "Time Lord Social Order". However, the Time Lord Social Order was wiped out when the Doctor's home planet was destroyed. Which would possibly make it possible to have more than 13 regenerations.\ Actually no originally yes of course at the beginning of the series he has had 12 regenerations a full regenerative cycle, however in one episode(not sure which) but he claims to not know exactly how many times he has regenerated we all know we are on the fourteenth doctor(Peter Capaldi) however the doctor does not know that himself, and you also have to take into account the fact that Riversong on the episode Let's kill hitler! she gave him the remaining regenerations she had to have had which if you accounted for her being in new york as a little girl, Amy ponds friend and Melody Pond and the energy which she used to kill those nazi soldiers was 4 leaving her 8 regenerations to give to the doctor to save his life. And when it came down to it after the doctor saved planet Gallifrey the timelords in the pocket universe had given him a full regeneration cycle which is 12 so 20 regenerations minus one due to peter capaldi being the doctor we have 19 to go and maybe even more. :)
well, First off, his name is "The Doctor" and no, he doesn't die, he regenerates. in the last Christmas special, the 11th doctor (who was on his last regeneration) was granted another set of regenerations, so we can expect many more seasons of the show ;)
He has regenerated 12 times in total and is currently in his 13th incarnation - even though he (and we) only recognize 11 regenerations into another "Doctor" as the so-called Dark-Doctor (between Doctors 8 and 9) is a destroyer, not a healer, so he is not thought of as one of the official incarnations that can be called "The Doctor." The current Doctor known to fans as "12" is played by Peter Capaldi, who previously appeared in series 4 as a guest star. While It should be noted that in the series four finale of the revived series, "Journey's End", an injured Tenth Doctor manages to avert a full regeneration by channeling "excess regenerative energy" into his severed hand, allowing him to heal without changing form, this is not considered a regeneration as the doctor never changed his DNA. It was more of a healing.
