Data install installs all necessary and most used information onto your memory stick from the UMD. This decreases loading times within the game; how much data you install determines how much time is taken off of the loading times. This decreases loading times because it is faster to load off of a memory stick than it is off of the UMD. Additionally, data install extends your battery life, as your PSP won't have to use extra energy to spin and read the UMD - it will just pull the information off of the memory stick.

No you can't. The Dissidia replay data format is propriety to Square-Enix and they didn't release the details to other companies. So you need to get a bigger memory stick, or delete some stuff off your memory stick.
