In Japan, Valentines Day and White Day are celebrated differently than in the West. Women give chocolates to men, ad then men reply a month later, giving chocolates to women. Gay couples usually do whatever they want. Some exchange chocolates. Others only give chocolates to their opposite sex co-workers.
It would be on the same days, just to different people.
When I was in Japan, I was told by my daughter's sewing lady, they don't celebrate Christmas. They are buddists; not Christians.
