The man's name was Lazarus. He was the brother of Mary and Martha.
John explains that it was that Mary of Bethany who had anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and wiped His feet with her hair.
Joh 11:2 (This Mary was the one who poured the perfume on the Lord's feet and wiped them with her hair; it was her brother Lazarus who was sick.)
There were three resurrections by Jesus recorded in the Bible:Luke 7:11-15the widow’s sonLuke 8:49-56the officer’s daughterJohn 11:38-44Jesus' friend, Lazarusbut there were undoubtedly many more unrecorded (John 20:30/John 21:25).
People believe in Jesus when our heavenly Father draws them, as Jesus said: No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6.44)
Lazarus
The responses were fear, praise and fame first in Luke 7.16,17 when he raised the young man at Nain. When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, (John 11), the responses were, faith in Jesus from those who believed in him and anger at Jesus and a desire to kill him and Lazarus from the Pharisees.
Lazarus
yes because the call him the dead man and a lot of people die in death valley so that's why his signature move is the tombstone
Luke and John are the only gospels that mention sisters called Mary and Martha, and the only gospels that mention Lazarus. Luke contains a brief story of Jesus visiting the sisters, while Lazarus is in a parable that mentions his resurrection hypothetically (Luke 16:20-31). John wrote an important episode, in which Jesus visited the sisters, Mary and Martha, and resurrected their dead brother, Lazarus (John 11:43-44).Scholars say that John's Gospel was inspired by Luke's Gospel, although it does not follow Luke as closely as, for example, Luke follows Mark. The many similarities of the two stories about the resurrection of Lazarus show that the account in John should not be read literally, especially as the other three gospels never mention this, the most awe-inspiring miracle of Jesus.Luke, characteristically, wanted a story where the poor man triumphed over the rich man in heaven. John, characteristically, wanted to demonstrate the divine power of Jesus. The ancients believed that the soul left the body three days after death, meaning that even a god could no longer resurrect the dead person. In John's Gospel, Mary emphasised that Lazarus had been dead for four days, yet Jesus was easily able to raise him from the dead. Thus, we should read the story of the resurrection of Lazarus allegorically.Apart from faith, there is no good reason to believe that Jesus was able to raise his father from the dead.
Of the many miracles the Bible record catalogues, Jesus performing resurrections of the dead is included in them. One of the most notable being the resurrection of his friend Lazarus who had been dead and buried for four days (John 11:11-44). In another account at John 7:11-17 Jesus happened upon a funeral procession for a young man. The man's mother was a widow and obviously heavy with grief. Merely touching the funeral bier Jesus performs a resurrection after saying the worlds, "Young man, I say to you, Get up!" There were likely other instances where Jesus performed resurrections although they were not included as part of inspired writings of the Bible. (John 21:25)
