To get the star Rank, you have to get to level 40 with Mario and Luigi. Your reward is the Excellent! Badge. To get the Final Rank for Bowser, you have to get to level 40 with Bowser. Your reward is the Intruder Fangs. They let you take two turns in a row. Hope I helped!

Games like the Mario & Luigi series and Paper Mario don't save after you beat the final boss. Because this games follow a storyline, you can't just go back and defeat the bosses when you feel like it. It wouldn't make sense.

If you've already beat the final boss and you're trying at the challenge mode down in the challenge node, go to the Airway. The enemies there give the most exp out of all enemies in Mario and luigi's areas. Bowser, i think inside peaches castle.
