In Semitic religions why is god so partial to people of certain region and angry with other populations?

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. But my observation of your question; shows an atheist approach, in which you have strong feeling about "Semitic religions". You use the second word of your sentence with a capital "S" while using a lower case "g" to define God.
God sent a messenger to every nation with the teaching of monotheism. In disobedience, and intolerance they killed their messengers and forbid for themselves what was allowable. Then allowed for themselves what was forbidden, while elevating themselves & others in worship and polytheism. All the religious teaching was the same, however people gave themselves "religious identities" such as the tribes of Judah, refer to themselves as (Jews), the followers of Christ call themselves (Christians). While Muslims have a unique approach which is not named after their prophet such as "Muhammadins" They are simply Muslims, which the word does not derive from its prophet.
