Get that celestial mirror from Remiem Temple (Magus Sisters) and get it powered up (i think you did this?). Then you have to do those side quests to get the sigils, crests and weapons. The sidequests can be found on any good FAQ site. Some weapons you just can't get until you get full control of the airship, because they are in specific alcoves of past areas you just couldn't access before (underneath/above them on unreachable ledges).
you can use the airship after you defeat lady yunalesca in zanarkand after mt. gagazet. you use the airship to get to sin and defeat the game. also you can use the airship to finish sidequests, revisit all of the temples (there are some really cool items in the treasure chests when you revisit), find hidden aeons and areas, complete the celestial weapons, or just visit each of the other areas to see how people are handling the idea of Yuna trying to beat sin.
You enable the Aeons to break the damage limit when you upgrade certain characters' Celestial Weapons fully. In Yojimbo's case, you must fully upgrade Auron's Masamune.

Probobly because you hav not input the correct coordinates into the airship. their are some coordinates that you can input and Cid will take you there, some of the places housing the legendary weopans. (You will not be told ANY of these coordinates in the game and i don't remember them.) Signed, Phoenix
Answer: No you do not. You can just avoid the butterflys all together or just hit one and wait till the time runs out. Though if you get a certain number you gain an item needed to complete one of the celestial weapons.
