Yes, I received a ticket driving on I-83 towards Baltimore.

The ticket stated:

Charge: Restrictions on use of limited access highways.

Nature of Offense: Failed to drive vehicle in the right hand lane of a limited access highway when the lane was available.

The ticket was a total of: $110

Fine- $25.00

E.M.S- $10.00

MCARE- $30.00

COSTS- 36.00

J.C.P/A.T.J- $10.00

This offense didn't tack on any points to my license. It was just considered a traffic citation.

The ticket also stated that the police officer followed me for 2 miles. Which is false. He followed me for roughly 30 seconds. I was completely unaware of this law and looked at the officer like he was kidding. He didn't offer a warning, and immediately jumped straight to the ticketing.

I am going to school to be a police officer, only because I want to do good, and help people. Not hand out bull crap tickets to struggling college students because the police department needs to pay their bills. It's a shame because from what I understand this law is fairly new.

When driving on the highway for a long period of time. what lane should you drive on?

The inside lane, so merging traffic doesn't interfere with your driving.

You are driving on an expressway that has 3 lanes going in your direction. You will be driving a long distance ahead. Which lane should you drive in to avoid the most conflicts?

Middle lane at +/- 5 mph of posted speed limit

Who is at fault if MV1 with trailer in the right lane is forced to merge into the left lane due to construction?

Unfortunately MV1 more than likely, you cannot enter any lane of traffic until safe to do so. So in this case, if were not safe, (other vehicles in the left lane), the thought would likely be you should've stopped and waited until the lane was clear and it was safe. You can't just change lanes (no matter what the reason) and hit a 'innocent' that was safely traveling and had possession of that lane. How could they possibly be at fault? Another argument would be how long ahead of this lane closing was it announced?

Can you make a right turn on a no left turn lane?

Yes, as long as there isn't another lane for turning right. You can turn right when you are not allowed to turn left.

Who is at fault when the left lane merges into the right and the car in the left is to long and has no room to enter the right lane the car in the left hits the car in the right lane?

the car changing lanes, so the left. By Yisoonshin - "I thought that the car on the right would be at fault, because since the left lane is merging, the right car should go faster or slower to allow room for the car in the left lane. It's not like you can stop right there. But usually the right lane merges into the left, or at least I thought they do. By Perau - nope, that's not how it works. the car on that lane has the rightaway to go at whatever speed they like. The car on the left has to wait and make sure it is clear for them to merge.

Can a car drive faster in the right lane than a car in the left lane?

The speed of a car depends upon many factors in addition to the lane that it is in; for example, if the car in front of you slows down, you will also have to slow down in order to avoid a collision. But in general, on a multilane highway it is the left lane that is the passing lane. Cars on the left should be faster than those on the right.Added: However, there is no law that says that the traffic in the right lane (or left - depending on your national laws) cannot be travelling faster than the those in the "passing" lane. . . as long as they are not exceeding the speed limit.

What does a green arrow at the same time as a red traffic light mean?

The road leading up to these traffic lights will be split into filter lanes: traffic in one lane goes left, another lane is for traffic wanting to travel straight ahead, and another lane may be for vehicles wishing to go right. Let's say the green arrow points left. It means only traffic that wants to turn left can go. Vehicles in all other lanes must remain stopped. If the arrow points right, you are free to move as long as you're in the right-hand lane; everyone else must stay stationary.

When a center turn lane is available do you have to use it to make your left turn?

When making a left turn across opposing traffic you may pull into the center/turn lane to clear yourself out of traffic, until the turn can be made with safety. HOWEVER, it is not meant to be travelled in for more than a certain number of feet (distance may vary by state law) before making the actual turn.

When making a right turn from a highway with two lanes in your direction you may turn from?

If you are turning left from a one way street onto another one way street, you can make a left on red. However, they must both be one way streets. You can turn left from either lane so long as you continue into the current lane you are in. As in if you are in the right lane, you must turn left and stay in the furthest right lane. And vise versa.Added: CAUTION - not all states allow left hand turns on red under the circumstances described in the question - unless allowed by posted sign or appropriate traffic signal display.

How do you turn on a blinker in midnightclub la for xbox?

How would you deal with an intersection while executing a left turn?

Approach the intersection in the left-most lane appropriate for traveling in your direction, and take up the new left-turn direction in the left-most lane appropriate for traveling in the new direction. Avoid letting the back of your vehicle or trailer enter any on-coming lane once you have entered the new street. When two lanes are allowed to turn left, you may choose either lane (large vehicles may have regulations about choosing the lane), but whichever left-turn lane you are in approaching the intersection should be the lane you enter on the new street. If the vehicle you are driving is so long that making the left turn might cause the rear-most wheels to cut into another lane, plan ahead to draw the front of your vehicle further forward before beginning the turn. If there is not enough room in the entersection to draw your vehicle adequately forward, then move more slowly than other traffic about you, and if you are in a right-hand drive country such as the UK, start by moving toward the right edge of your lane or partially blocking a second lane traveling in your direction, so as to draw the rear-most wheels away from the corner but without allowing traffic to slip in between you and the corner, and continue as above.
