I HAVE BEEN AN AVID DUCK HUNTER FOR 21 YEARS, MAN TIME GOES BY! I HAVE USED THE 1187, THE 870, THE 835 ULTIMAG THE BENELLI NOVA, THE 9200 VIKINGA AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. I BOUGHT A SUPER BLACK EAGLE AND HAVE NEVER HAD ONE SINGLE FAILURE OTHER THAN NOT LISTENING TO A HUNTING BUDDY WHO HAS HAD ON FOR TEN YEARS AND SWEARS BY THE GUN ALSO.
I would say for the money a Mossberg 935 is the best gun on the market. You can pick one up for around $400 and they shoot great and never fail.
It all depends on what fits you best. First you need to shoulder each gun and see which one fits you. Now you must ask yourself if you want an gas operated or an inertia. The SBE is inertia and does kick a little more. If you do not mind the small amount of extra recoil in my oppion the SBE is hard to beat hands down. Easy to take appart and clean along with reliable time after time.
