Yes, having fog lamps on - either front or rear - when the visibility is good is a motoring offence in the UK and can result in a fine and points on the license.

Fog lamps on a car show up a lot more in the fog than other lamps simple because they are much brighter. It is therefore advised that you only use them in extreme cases of fog as it can cause issues for other drivers if you have your fog lights on when there is little to no fog.

Yellow lights have good wavelength and improves visibility during bad weather. The current model cars have fog lamps which increases visibility during fogy weather. Yellow lights were used about a decade ago. It is banned in most of the European and western contries.

According to the 2001 Ford F-150 Owner Guide : The Fog Lamps take bulb ( # 9145 )
it will still pass inspection but it is better to buy the fog lamps
look under the vehicke where the fog lamps are and you will see a rubber housing that fits around the openin gof the fog lamps, Now take off the rubber seal and you will see the mini bulb and alls you have to do is push forward on both of the small springs and it will release and from there you can tak eoff the mini fog lamp bulb.
I was told one fuse control two fog lamps #53 or #63 under hood in box next to battery. Good luck!
