Knowing that Ashfur was going to tell the clans her story she Killed Ashfur. But she still thought that Squirrelflight was a Horrible liar and hated her Like Ashfur did. So she told the clans to make everyone else feel the same about her not real mother. But running away in shock and terror she died in the overflowing caves. This just goes to show anger and hatred can change a cat/person forever.
Does Ashfur get mad and try to kill Brambleclaw when Squirrelflight said she doesn't love him in the books Warriors?
No, but he tries to kill Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze because he thought that if Squirrelflight watched her kits die then she would go to Ashfur. But Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze are not Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw's kits.

Sunrise is the sixth book in Warriors:Power Of Three. Jayfeather, Hollyleaf, and Lionblaze try to find out who their real parent's are, and ThunderClan thinks that the loner cat Sol murdered one of the ThunderClan warriors, Ashfur, and some of them set out to find him. One of the best books in the Warriors series in my opinion, but it is literally brand new as of April 21, 2009.
