I think that the real reason that Erik acts the way he does is because of his parents. His parents didnt do anything when he spray painted Paul's eyes, so he turned into a syco! He is (in my opinion) mentally ill! He is just a sick person!

He bullies and manipulates others to feel powerful and important, especially in comparison to his more talented brother, Paul.
