The children (Jem and Scout) found bubble gum, 2 indian head pennies (bring long life and good health), spelling bee award, ball of twine, miniature models of themselves made of soap, and a watch.
Boo Radley left small items like gum, soap dolls, a spelling bee medal, and a pocket watch in the knothole of a tree for the children to find. These items served as gestures of friendship and kindness towards Scout and Jem.

- chewing gum
- a gold medal
- a watch with a chain
- two soap dolls resembling scout & jem
- Indian head pennies
in the tree for scout and jem .
In my own words why Boo leaves the gifts are because, he wants to show the Jem and Scout that he's not a scary monster everybody thinks he is. He's an example of a mockingbird.

Well, according to information i think they leave it by the fireplace
they act out all of the rumors about Boo Radley, their mysterious neighbor that doesn't leave his house.
This has to do with a Dutch tradition. They leave shoes by the fireplace, so that Sinterklaas will fill it with presents and/or candy. This is done in the period until the fifth of december, which is called Pakjesavond (Evening of presents). That night, Sinterklaas and his 'Zwarte Pieten' deliver gifts to all children that have been good in the past year.
what are the things children in France leave out on Christmas eve
The children, Jem and Scout, want to leave a letter in the keyhole as a gesture of goodwill for Boo Radley, the reclusive neighbor. They hope that Boo will find the letter and communicate with them as a way of initiating contact and friendship. The children are curious about Boo and want to break down the barriers that separate them.
Mr. Nathan Radley fills the knothole with cement in order to prevent the children from receiving any more gifts from Boo Radley. This action is seen as a way to cut off the relationship between Boo and the Finch children.
