A decisive event in the climax of the plot typically brings about a major turning point or climax in the story where the main conflict is confronted and resolved. This event often leads to significant changes for the characters and a resolution to the main storyline.
A climax of a literary work is the decisive moment that is of maximum intensity or is a major turning point in a plot.
next event in the plot
The events of a dramatic or narrative plot following the climax.
Isn't this a rather devious way of asking what the climax of the play is? In the Freytag Pyramid sense, the climax falls in Act 3 Scene 1 with the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt. The death of Tybalt is, in particular, the event which sends the plot spiralling into tragedy. And the important event immediately following it is the trial of Romeo in absentia for the crime of street brawling causing death. Of course, another view of what a climax is all about (the resolution of the plot conflicts) would make the climax the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, and the event which follows is the reconciliation of their families.
The turning point in a plot is the climax.

Plot- The plot is the sequence of events in a story, each event causing or leading to another. The 6 things on the plot diagram are......(in this order) 1. Exposition- the introduction to the people, places, and situations that we need to know 2. Rising Action- the series of events that lead to the climax of the story. Usually the conflict struggles with the protagonist - the "rising action" is where the plot is "thickened" with characters and problems. 3. Narrative Hook- the introduction of the main conflict that catches the readers attention, and causes the reader to find out what happend. 4. Climax- the decisive movement in a story; the turing point of the play to which the rising action leaves; the part which determines the outcome of the conflict. 5. Falling Action- the series of events which take place after the climax and leads to the conclusion. 6. Resolution/ Denouncement- establishes a new morn, a new state of afairs- the way things are going to be from then on ( conclusion) *other terms that might help* conflict- the struggle with in the plot between opposing forces protagonist- engages the readers interest and empathy Plot- The plot is the sequence of events in a story, each event causing or leading to another. No. The plot is the events that happen in a story. The setting is where those events take place. The plot can effect the setting and the setting can effect the plot. They are separate, but important elements of story.
The climax does not take place during the rising action. The rising action includes events that develop the plot and build toward the climax, which is the moment of highest tension or conflict in the story.
The main event of a story is the central event or conflict that drives the plot forward and significantly impacts the characters and the outcome of the narrative. It is often the turning point or climax of the story where tensions are at their highest and decisions or actions lead to the resolution or conclusion of the plot.
