No, the Rose theatre and the Globe theatre are two different theatres. The Rose theatre opened before the Globe theatre in 1587, and the Globe theatre opened afterwards in 1599. The Rose theatre closed in 1605, whereas the Globe Theatre was burnt down in 1613, rebuilt in 1614 and then closed in 1642. Both theatres are now rebuilt and open to the public.

The word "theatre" includes cinemas where you see images projected onto a screen and also places where you see real live actors perform on stage. There might be a theatre called the Globe Theatre which is a cinema because it's a common name for theatres. But the most famous Globe Theatre (1599-1613) was destroyed many centuries before the invention of cinemas, and was exclusively built for stage plays.
The original Globe was made from timber that was used in a previous theater, called The Theatre, which was owned by one of the shareholder's father. The original burned down in a fire. It was rebuilt in 1614 and then closed in 1642 by Puritans.
The Globe Theatre The original Globe Theatre in London, England, was built in 1599 by the Lord Chamberlain's Men - a theatre company which included William Shakespeare. It was destroyed by a fire in 1613, rebuilt in 1614 and finally demolished in 1644. In 1997 a replica of the original theatre was built, close to the original site and is called Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

Yes, It belonged to the Collins family, my forefathers, Les Collins & his wife lived opposite the theatre. I was born in Wells in 1940, & even as a child can remember the Palace which then was a cinema. The Collins objected vehemently in opposition to the building of the Regal cinema in the 30,s, but were overuled.
Shakespeare's business partners owned a theatre (called The Theatre) north of London. Although they owned the building, they did not own the land under it. They had a number of legal disputes with their landlord as a result of which they took down the entire theatre (without advising the landlord) and transported it across the river to Southwark, just south of the City of London across the Thames. There they rebuilt it using the same materials and called the new theatre The Globe. The landlord who had been hoping to seize the building to satisfy his claims was out of luck.
