Their core units are also very powerful, high elf spearmen and sea guard have a special rule that allow them to fight with an additional rank, used with spears that's 3 ranks of attacks when charged and 2 ranks of attacks when being charged. Along with their weapon skill of 4 this makes them a deadly unit for a core choice.
