What I've heard is Texas is known to have the most whitetails in the nation. Though their body size may not average more that 150 lbs. Texas is known for producing some of the highest scoring racks in the nation. The bucks there can be really really big in the antlers.

North Carolina has an unlimited daily and season bag limits. As long as you have enough tags you can shoot as many deer as you would like. As a resident I am given 6 tags at first, 4 bucks, 2 does. After my tags are filled I can return to a licencing agent and purchase 2 more antlerless tags for 10 dollars. I can do this as many times I would want. Also you can purchase as many extra antlerless tags at once as you would like. For instance when I get my big game tags I also purchase to antler less tags at the same time. So if I shoot 8 deer in a day it would be legal, although not likely. For more info visit www.ncwildlife.org
