First, the legislative branch can pass a law. The way the executive branch checks that is by either agreeing with it or vetoing it.
It has to approve treaties made by the president.
Checks and balances. The Executive branch has power over (checks the power of) the Judiciary branch by way of choosing who to appoint. The Legislative branch has power over (keeps in check) the Judiciary branch by way of choosing whether to confirm the appointments. The Legislative Branch also has power over (keeps in check) the Executive branch because the appointments to the Supreme Court require their approval.
The judicial branch checks the legislative branch by declaring if the laws made by the legislative branch are unconstitutional. The executive also checks the legislative branch because it can veto a legistaltion.Hope this actually helps you:)
The judicial branch of government can overrule the executive branch of government. The overruling of an executive order can be done in the supreme court system.
obviously this is not the whole system, but it is the main idea # executive branch has the power to check the legislative branch by vetoing laws congress wants to pass # Legislative branch may check the executive branch by passing laws over the veto by 2/3 vote in each house # judicial branch checks both legislative and executive branches by being able to declare laws unconstitutional

i think executive branch refers to the president. by the way u spelled BRANCH wrong...
it can declare laws unconstitutional.
It's through a system of checks and balances. No one branch (Executive, Judicial, and Legislative) can have too much power this way, and each decision has to be passed through each branch in order to be put into action.
The Governor is the head of the Executive Branch of State Government, and in the same way the Prisident is head of the Executive Branch of the National Government.
They were created in order to maintain a system of checks and balances, with each branch holding 1/3 of the country's political power. Obviously it hasn't worked out this way. legislative, executive, and judical.
