Actually,In the real Islam there is no extremist values at all. On the contrary, when you study Islam you'll find it full of values of peace & tolerance. It believes in equality & justice for all people whatever their races, languages, beliefs...etc. And the Islamic community since the dawn of its history could successfully contain people with so many outward variations.

Allah clearly states this law in the Holy Quran .For example, He says:

"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things). "

(Chapter 49, verse 13 )

Al-Hujurat (The Private Apartments, The Inner Apartments)

In fact, the stereotypes about Muslims in the American community, mostly came after September 11,2001 . But it's very important & wise not to prejudge Islam, & not to generalize that Muslims believe in terrorism or bigotry. In fact anyone who commits such a crime then pretends to be a Muslim, actually he doesn't know anything about Islam but its name. And such a person should never be considered as a representative to the Muslims.

You have to know that Islam strictly forbids such deeds & considers them as horrible sins. Allah says in the Holy Quran:

"if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. Then although there came to them Our apostles with clear signs, yet, even after that, many of them continued to commit excesses in the land."

Al-Ma'ida (The Table, The Table Spread)

(chapter 5, verse 32)

Consequently, Islam is really innocent from these accusations. And the evidences are too many. So ,once again please don't prejudge Islam before you know this great humanitarian religion.

American society embraces values such as religious freedom, tolerance, and multiculturalism, all of which are contrary to the extremist ideology that seeks to impose a narrow, radical interpretation of Islam. Additionally, the democratic principles and institutions in America provide opportunities for marginalized communities, including Muslims, to participate in the political process and have their voices heard. The emphasis on individual rights, equality, and diversity also contradicts the extremist beliefs that promote violence, discrimination, and the suppression of dissent.

You're talking about the Muslim Brotherhood - but I would not call them radical. Not compared with Alqaidah, Hizbolla and Hamas. In fact, the Muslim Brotherhood is pretty tame.
