Your going to have read the book on that battle; because as usual the MOVIE had it half-a--ed wrong. TWO battalions lost 300 dead GIs in 3 days of fighting. The film only showed one battalion with less than half those losses. Which is a discredit to the US fighting men that died in those 3 days. Maybe LTC Moore didn't plan the film to be that way, but that's the way it reached the audience. Read the book: We Were Soldiers Once...And Young! By LTC Hal Moore.
