all you need is the expansion, first you install it and then every time you want to play the game you put in the latest expansion disc you installed
If by "other games" you mean the expansion packs, then yes. In order to install the expansion packs (Sims 2 University, etc.) you need to have Sims 2 already installed. If you don't want to spend money on that game as well as the expansion pack, find a friend who has the Sims 2 discs, and borrow them. Install the game and then install your expansion pack right afterward. That way, you don't need the regular Sims 2 disc to play with your expansion pack. You just have to have the disc for the expansion pack you installed. (However, if you ever have to uninstall the game, you'll need to borrow Sims 2 again to reinstall it.)
Yes, if you have the high-end loft stuff installed already and then you buy the sims 3 ambitions and install it, you just use the sims 3 ambitions disc and your high end loft stuff items will still work within ambitions.
If the disc is cracked but already installed then yes you can install the Sims 3 late night expansion pack. Since it is a more recent version of the game, just use that disc when you play the game.
I have the Sims 2 and when I installed it I just popped the disc into my laptop and followed the directions the computer told me to do as I went.
It's because it's just an expansion pack. When you play Sims 2 the features of the expansion packs are in the game.
To install any sims 2 expansion packs you need to have the sims 2 installed. You cant just install sims 2 seasons for example, you need to have the sims 2 installed. It should say that on the box somewhere.
As long as you have the sims 2 disc and box then you should be able to play it. If you mean playing the game without the bon voyage expansion pack then you just uninstall bon voyage.
The regular Sims 2 disc. Those are just expansion packs, not actual games.
Yes, sims 3 pets is just an expansion pack so you can do everything you can do on the base game except you can also do what pets and any other eps you have installed add to the game.
Hiya! You might need to read the instructions mannual again. I had this problem with the Sims 2 University. If Seasons has more than 1 disc, try inserting the other disk. If that doesn't work, then try clicking on the last installed add on. (I know it's confusing.) I can only play University when I go onto Apartment Life, which was my last installed Sims related game. So if you only have Sims 2 and Seasons, try clicking on Sims 2. Good Luck, and happy Simming! :)
You just use the regular disc
All of the expansion packs are a part of one game, so after you have installed more than one expansion pack, it will just be added to the sims game that you already have. Although, you will need to run the game using the latest expansion pack of your collection
