Okay do NOT get an iBook over a Macbook EVER!!! iBooks are very old and extremely slow. they cant have all the programs a macbook can get either. And do Not get the macbook air. get the macbook or the macbook pro. The air would break easier and doesnt have a disk drive. Macbook may be expensive, but it is worth is.

The G3 iBooks are too old to be useful but the G4 iBooks are fine if you are web browsing, emailing, Facebooking, text editing, using iTunes and iPhoto etc. They can run Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard).
They cannot run 10.6 (Snow Leopard), the latest versions of iMovie, other movie editing /music creating software nor the latest games which will require a newer MacBook.
The Macbook line have been discontinued. You can probably find them on E-bay. Current models (Macbook Air and Macbook Pro) are available at any retail store that sells Apple computers or any Apple products.
Apple is extremely versatile, and the best option is probably the least expensive. I recommend going to the Apple store and buying a refurbished Macbook Pro.
With the introduction of the MacBook Air and having the newer MacBook Pros, it was time to retire the original MacBook for sleeker looking and better working computers. The sales for the original MacBook were aslo severely dwindling due to customers purchasing the two laptop models and the iPad.
