Who the hell still uses vista? get a better browser, such as chrome, or firefox. or opera. there are also several other browsers which are better options than netscape. Or you could just use IE. not that i recommend it but at this point it's better than netscape
Yes, JavaScript was (and is) used server-side. In 1994, Netscape released their Netscape Enterprise Server, which allowed for the use of JavaScript as a server-side language. It was never really hugely popular. But Apache still makes available their "mod_js" for this express purpose. (Even if it's not intended as production use, rather described as "just a toy.")

Netscape is very outdated and is not used any more. i believe they are now Mozilla Firefox, but now days the internet browsers that you can use all should be javascript ready. i know mozilla firefox is javascript ready and the most up to date internet explore is javascript ready. i dont believe there is a difference in the programming i believe on whatever browser you have it should still render.
