Back in the dream time; the moon was infact attached to the Earth, the core of the earth and the core of the moon were one. When animals and plants started living- methane gases forced the moon away. Of course this billions and billions of years ago and now the term crept is used to describe the speed in which the moon rose into foreign galaxies, there are numerous artists who have tried to display the very slow motion of the moon 'creeping' to the sky that long time ago. As the cores spilt the moon was still nestled inside the earth and the earsh broke open creating "holes" in the surface of the Earth (oceans) and water actually comes from the innner core of the moon. while inside the Moon, water was known in old scottish as 'fetishnockerporn'. A long time after the big implosion that wiped out many species of animal and dinosaur leaving them buried hundreds of kilometres under the ground, the Earth recreated itself into its now sperical yet uneven build.
hope this helps xx

The orbital path of the moon and gravitational attraction between the moon and the earth keep it up there where it is supposed to be.
A moon is a round shaped circle in the sky which comes up when the sun goes down
Both the Sun and the Moon rises towards the East and sets towards the West. There are times during the Moon orbit round the Earth, when the Moon is in the sky during daylight. The brightness of the sunlight makes it difficult to spot the Moon in the sky.
