Can dc 5V 800mA works with 5v 2.5A?
When sizing power sources, you must match voltage (which you have done) and make sure the supply can supply enough current to the electronics. If your supply is the 800mA, and the equipment using this needs 2500mA, then the power supply is undersized. If the supply is the 2500mA and the user is 800mA, then your power supply is oversized, and will work just fine.
Is it ok to use an amp rated at 4 Ohms and speakers at 8 ohms and why or why not?
yes you can you will have to wire up the speakers in parallel because with 8ohm it gives too much resistance and the amp will produce unwanted sound i.e. low volume.

Yes, but you need a big industrial chopper/mixer! Really need more information here. The total will be 2.67 ohms. If it is a solid state amp that is rated to go down to 2 ohms you should be OK. The 4 ohm speaker will get receive twice the power of the 8 ohm. If it is a tube amp that is designed for 2-3 ohms ( not likely) it would also be OK for the amp.

How do you calculate DC link capacitors?
Its a very difficult subject to which most of my fellow designers estimate the ripple current in the caps and then select capacitors that can handle that current. The idea of voltage droop om most DC links can be forgotten because of other compensators such as a lower BEMF motor. The problem is to get as much life out of the caps as you can and that's to keep them cool as you can. Assume that every amp delivered from the DC like is an amp of ripple current and you should be OK.

No. The 20 amp breaker is probably protecting a #12 wire. Connecting a 40 amp breaker to the 20 amp #12 wire would seriously overload the #12 wire. This means that if the load increased to a full 40 amps the insulation on the smaller size wire would most likely melt off and the wire could short out.

Replacing a lower amp generator with a higher one won't hurt. The 130 amp generator doesn't put out 130 amps, it is just capable of generating more amps if called on to do so by the system. For example, if your explorer only uses 10 amps, then the 130 amp generator will only put out 10 amps.

It may not damage the dryer. But....if the dryer tries to use more than 20 amps, or if anything else is connected to the breaker totaling MORE than 20 amps, the breaker will pop. The breaker disconnects (throws, pops, etc.) if there is too much current being drawn. Too many light bulbs, heaters, stoves, etc. This is designed as a safety so that wires don't melt, fires start and so on. Consult the manufacturer to see if is OK. Or at least look at the label on back to see how many amps it uses. If it's even close to 20 amps, it might be good to have an electrician see about upgrading the breaker/ wiring.
