For a baby? That's way too much! Turtles have no concept of when to stop eating, and in some cases, have eaten themselves to death. The rule I was told long ago and have always stuck to is that they should eat an amount of food equivalent to the size of their head each day. This rule has always worked for me to keep happy, healthy turtles.

Red Ear Slider Turtles eat a variety of foods. Yes, they will crickets, you can also feed dried shrimp, pellets, krill, or blood worms.
are you putting your turtle into a separate tank when feeding him? sometimes this helps - but make take some time. i find it easiest to just feed my turtles in their main tank. maybe try "reptotreat" by tetra - they make dried, natural shrimp - maybe this will give your turtle the sense of something more "real" than the pellets but not as difficult as the minnows.
They eat pellets (thats the best), vegetables (lettuce, cucumber etc.) and fruits.
You can feed your baby slider one of the foods designed specifically for aquatic turtles and they will also need vitamins to help their immune system. they will need to be high in vitamin A and calcium to help prevent disease. they also enjoy eating earthworms, meal worms, aquatic snails (for slightly larger sliders) and sweet water shrimp, but the baby's mouth is not big enough to eat them whole so you will have to chop them up into little peices so that they can eat it. hope I answered your question. P.S. If the turtle won't eat after about a week get some beef blood and mix it with the vitamins and put in a dropper and put the drops in its or on its mouth so it can get some nourishment. they will also eat fruits and veggies
You probably have frozen brake caliper slider pins or a frozen brake caliper piston on one side.
your red ear slider isn't eating because they are timid animals and it is probaly scared of you try fider fish first if that dosent work the put in floating pellets and leave the room.
I have a red eared slider too. If you turtle is a baby dont worry until the third week or so. You can also try raw meat, baby turtles are usally carnivorous. If your turtle doesnt eat by the third week you should see a doctor. A list of foods for turtles is cooked chiken for a snack or treat, bloodworms, earthworms, veggies, fruits, pinkie mice, and you can also try frozen turtle pellets called NATURAL AQUATIC TURTLE FOOD. I hope it all works with your little slider GOOD LUCK
try giving him pellets and sprinkling calcium dust on its food try giving him pellets and sprinkling calcium dust on its food

A red eared slider will eat strawberries. My red eared slider eat strawberries once a week and maybe half of one. Don't give it to them every day because they are very low in protein but your turtle will love them! i know that the pellets have the most protein and vitamins so you should check that out!
sometimes red eared sliders like to eat krill .when i got my red eared slider i first gave it pellets and it wouldnt eat but then i bought krill and my turrle loved it!!
