No. I weigh the same and I'm not overweight, though I have a very large stomach. Try to keep your stomach pulled in whilst in tight fitting clothes. Do not let anyone tell you that you are overweight, apart from yourself. There is an exercise I do every now and then to check this. Stand with no clothes on in front of your mirror. Stand sideways so you can see a profile of your body. Try and grab your belly. If you can grab a lot, cut back on the sweets and treats. If you can't grab a lot, try to see how many 'fat rolls' you have whilst sitting down and leaning slightly forwards. If you have more that 2, you need to stop eating that extra handful of crisps. Finally, lay flat on your back on a flat surface. If your belly sticks out a lot, well you know what to do.

Hope I helped

130 pounds is not to much for you to weigh! Just don't gain lots of weight and you will be fine! You are still growing and you will probably get taller and thin out. When I was 13 2 years ago I was maybe like 5' 5" and I weighed around 127. You are pretty tall for your age too.

When you calculate the body mass index of 120lbs(54.55kg) at 5'2(1.57meters) in the Body mass Index equation:

Weight in Kg/height in meters squared

your BMI will be approximately 22.

BMI is an indicator of your body fat, however is does not take into consideration you lean tissue.

The ranking of BMI in females are as follows:

<12- UNDER WEIGHT

17-25- NORMAL WEIGHT

25-30- OVERWEIGHT

30+-OBESE

With all mathematical estimates there are flaws with this one too. Since it does not take into consideration your muscle mass, a body builder may be 130lbs at 5'2 with little body fat(5-7%) but on this scale would be considered overweight.

One view- Not really. I know more people that way more then that and their 13 years old. Other views- According to a BMI (body mass indicator) that is at the boundary for healthy to overweight for a teen female. According to another calculator, the average ideal weight for this size is 117 lbs. And that 132 lbs. is reasonably healthy.

You are a little over weight dear but taking more care of what you eat and doing regular excercise will take care of that - you'll feel better for it too.
