I believe the 235 is 1/2" wider than the 225.
A 235 60 16.
Almost certainly! A 235/75 R15 tire is only 10mm wider than a 225/75 R15 tire and 10mm is less that 4/10ths of an inch. The only problem you could run into is if the R15 rim you're using is already too wide or too narrow for the tire which you have on it, but if the 225 tire is using the recommended rim, the 235 tire is permitted under current standards. .
Can a 225/60R 16 tire replace a 235/70R 16 tire.
The 235 is ten millimeters wider. The 235 is ten millimeters wider.
The 265 tire is larger diameter than 235 also maybe wider will change spedometer accuracy.
The 235/75-15 tire has an overall diameter that is .59" bigger. It is also .40" wider. Your speedometer will read 58.7 at a true 60 mph with the 235 if the 225 was the OEM size.
The 235 will be slightly wider than the 225, as long as your tires do not rub when turned from stop to stop it is a good swap.
The 235/75/16 is larger.
If it has disc brakes, it must be a 15 inch tire. A 225 or 235 75 ratio will doo. If is has four wheel drum brakes, a 14 inch tire was standard. a 225 or 235 75 will do.
Someone may have wider tires on theirs however I have 235 x 60s on the back and 225 50s on the front with no problem
Not a good idea, that's a far wider tire than you had originally. It may not even fit on the same rim safely.
